Thai Massage
Thai massage is based on the concept of (predictable) invisible energy lines running through the body. Blocking or imbalance of these energies leads to various diseases.
Stimulation of energy lines is achieved through a combined massage techniques: acupressure (squeezing) and yoga-like stretching techniques on the body’s muscles, pressure points and energy lines (“Sen”). That employs the use of the therapist’s fingers, thumbs, and also elbows, arms and feet for some techniques. A controlled force is applied.
Thai massage restores the flow of vital energy through the body, which have a healing and prophylactic effect. Its main goal is energy purification and harmonization.
In many cases, when performing the traditional technique, before the massage, mantra ceremonies with prayers are often performed to ensure the health and harmony of the seeker.
